• Dear friends and family,

We are very excited for you to celebrate with us when we toss the chicken on Sunday, May 18, 2025 (i.e. tie the knot). This page provides information on our plans for the day.

    By: Mary Oliver

4 pm – Cameron House opens and family members arrive

4:30 pm – Friends arrive; alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available at the front room bar

Please note that the Cameron House bar accepts only cash

5 pm – Marriage ceremony with members of the Woodshed Orchestra and Justice Alan Diner

5:45 pm – Buffet dinner served in the back room; drinks in the front room

6:30 pm – Performances and speeches in the front room

8:45 pm – Chicken toss in the front room

9 pm – Music by the Woodshed Orchestra in the back room, and guest performances; the front room opens to the public with our friends, Doghouse Orchestra, performing from 10 pm until late

We expect all performances in the back room to end at 1am.

However, Doghouse Orchestra in the front room will play until around 2am and all guests who want to keep celebrating are invited to stay.*

*Please note that all bands playing in the Cameron House front room are paid in the style of New Orleans music venues, which is through the tip jar. Toward the end of each set that a band plays in the front room, a band member or a trusted fan takes the tip jar around the room and it is expected that all spectators contribute to it at least once, unless they cannot do so. Common tips are between $5 and $20, with $10 and $20 contributions being the most common.
